NO MORE BS: A Liberty First Culture – Power to the People

Frankly, I laugh at a part of the title of this post.  “Power to the People” is a common sign seen at mass demonstrations, based upon the lie that the people somehow lost power and that power needs to be returned from wherever it went, to the people, whoever they are.  The people in a democratic society already have control over the government.  In fact, the government cannot take the power of the people away because they fear the populations they have abused, like all tyrants in history.

Whale in OceanConsider for a moment the blue whale.  The biggest mammal on earth swims in the ocean and can grow to be around 100 feet long and displace 200-tons.  Does the ocean rely upon the whale, or does the whale rely upon the ocean?  The answer is obvious; the blue whale, as massive and majestic as it is, depends upon the ocean for survival.  The same is true of the government!  The government cannot survive without the people, just as the blue whale cannot survive without the ocean.  The consent of the governed can be given and taken from the politicians as the people decide.  Hence, tyrants fear the people they oppress, all while enjoying the spoils of oppressing the people.

Every revolution in history started when people believed they had reached the point of no return and took upon themselves the power of self-rule.  The French Revolution, the American Revolution, the various feudal fights across Ireland, Britain, and Scotland, the multiple Chinese and Russian revolutions, India, Israel, etc., all are boiled down to this simple and inescapable fact.  When the people have had enough, the politicians fear and scramble, then they are held accountable, and the people claim the powers of self-rule.  Until the people forget their parents’ lessons, the fight for freedom, the liberties of self-rule, and begin to vote in oppressors, the cycle begins anew.

Laughing OwlHence, I laugh at all the fools and tools that carry these signs, for they know not what they want, nor do they accept the responsibility they claim they desire.  I have seen signs proclaiming “Power to the people!” in various languages, various wordings, and in Maoist and Marxist ideologies since I became aware of the world.  I detest these simpering tools and fools who spout their Mao, their Marx, and Stalin but reject the responsibility and the damage these societies create.  The clowns and puppets wearing Che Guevara on their clothing make me wonder about the chess pawn axiom and how the pawns are the first to die in battle.

When Hillary Clinton came out wearing her Mao jacket, I understood the consequences of choosing better politicians from those able and willing to run for public office.  More, I understood the need for cleaning the house when a politician runs amok and needs to be removed from office.  I have learned to detest those who consider politics a game, and even worse those who “play the game” with the people’s liberty and freedom while abusing the citizenry!

I make clear the following, repeating myself only for emphasis.  I do not care about your political flavor or leanings.  I only care about keeping the United States of America a free Republic, under God, for my children’s children to enjoy.  Political parties come and go, politicians come and go.  The liberties and freedoms of the US Constitution will only endure by making better choices at the ballot box, raising our voices in city councils and school board meetings, and demanding those who desire to oppress being held accountable before a judge and jury.

The Duty of AmericansPresident Abraham Lincoln gave America Proclamation 97.  Take a moment to read this very short but powerful proclamation, and consider living this proclamation this 30th of April 2021.  What would happen if all the people who love liberty, who call themselves Americans, regardless of belief, obeyed this simple proclamation as a prayer for help against the tyranny and oppression we are now experiencing?

Is not the government’s mandates and policies for COVID-19 as oppressing and freedom stealing as a civil war?  Would your answer change if, because of their money, specific populations of American’s were allowed to forgo the COVID mandates?  Simultaneously, those who do not equal in financial strength are treated to the harshness of government tyranny.  Is not the National Debt, State Debt, City/Town Debt, and School Board debt sufficient to enslave and punish those not born because the politicians have allowed funded and unfunded loans to be borrowed in the people’s name?  Are these chains of captivity not life-stealing enough to pray for forgiveness and beg for a reprieve?

Literary ArtsWhat about the forced illiteracy imposed upon the people by the politicians now long dead, who despised a literate people and demanded that their liberties be stripped through ignorance?  Is this not a sufficient reason to plead to a power greater than you or me for supplication and divine interference?  To plead for an end to this misery caused by generations of politicians from all parties who had robbed, cheated, blinded, and harmed us long before we were born.

I had the great privilege of reading the history surrounding Proclamation 97.  The President knew not what else he could do as a mortal man to end the American Civil War.  So, driven to his knees by the loss, the shattered lives, the destroyed families, the national debt climbing to fight the South, the President looked to the one hope he knew could help.  More importantly, when proposed to the Senate, the Senate approved the measure.  With a careful understanding of the timelines, a person can begin to see the Civil War changes that brought a swifter conclusion to that bloody affair after the National Day of Fasting.  Can we stand to be accused of doing less by our Children’s Children at this tragic and pivotal moment in American history?

Religious ThoughtEvery religion I have studied, including atheism, recognizes there is power in fasting, even if the power is only better health.  While atheism does not realize a higher authority than self, and prayer to an atheist is a joke, every other religion I have studied holds a similar bond to fasting and prayer.  Recognizing the need for help from a greater power, realizing that the problems have grown too large, but still those problems need resolution, a person can go to a source for inspiration, guidance, and solace.  I suggest repeating the National Day of National Humiliation, Fasting, and Prayer, as laid out in Proclamation 97.

Let us, the citizens of America, stand together, kneel together, supplicate together, and arise stronger for the experience of being unified in asking for forgiveness and for divine assistance from the hands that made this country great.  Let us join in a national day of supplication for relief from what the government has become, the great millstone about our necks.  When a company wants to declare a new culture, specifically towards becoming safer, they declare a day, and they set apart that day as a “Safety Standdown” to teach, train, and launch a new culture.  Well, America needs a new political culture, one where Liberty is First in every freedom-loving person’s mind, where liberty and literacy can find fertile soil in the mind and heart to grow.  Where from the wrongs, right might begin to prevail.

LiberationLet us honor a national day of fasting and prayer and see how fast divine assistance arrives!  Let us throw off the chains and shackles and prove to ourselves that we have not and are not helpless beached whales, but the mighty and powerful ocean of voices screaming we will not allow liberty to die!

America – Let’s Elect a Few More Bastards

Non est vivere sed valere in vobis …. merentur melius quam tu tibi semper sit.

Finest HourPersonally, I am tired of soft speakers who speak platitudes and inwardly are ravening wolves.  Pres. Obama spoke softly, carried no sticks, drew red lines without consequences, and America is far worse for having had him as a president.  President Clinton also spoke well; but, severely lacked morals, courage, a sense of honor, and America suffered.  Both President’s Bush spoke well but lacked intestinal fortitude, grit, backbone, and ultimately were bad presidents for America.  President Reagan had grit, spoke eloquently, was respected, and was a bastard whose enemies honored him and feared him.  President Trump for all his good qualities is plain and abrupt.  But, inwardly he has a spine of iron, and demands accountability first from himself, and then from those around him.  Recently, I heard President Trump referred to as a “Bastard of a Bully!”  I think we need to elect a few more bastards.  People with grit in their teeth, iron in their spines, tongues that can lash and whip, and hands with calluses from doing actual work.

Anthony Liccione is quoted as saying, “A company of wolves, is better than a company of wolves in sheep’s clothing.”  For too long America has been electing legions of wolves in sheep’s clothing.  People who can utter pleasing words, but lack a spine, morals, convictions, and calluses from doing hard work.  We have elected the political poison we currently suffer because they make a good speech.  I remember an election, in fact, it is the only time I ever voted for Senator John McCain.  His opponent was lackluster, the race was a non-presidential year, and I had heard a couple of speeches and thought Senator McCain was worthy of my vote.  Not two days after McCain’s victory, I witnessed how spineless and useless McCain truly was and my eyes opened.  McCain was a traitor to America, and unfortunately, he had excellent company in the long-term emplaced members of Congress on both sides of the political aisle.  I am glad to say, I never made the mistake of voting for McCain ever again.

Grit is a MarathonAs an independent thinker, armchair historian, and a morally upright citizen, I have been doing more work every election to scrape the shield of whipping cream off the crap sundae the electorate is handed, and know who is being offered for election.  The more I scrape, the more worthless those running for office appear.  Terry Pratchet is quoted as saying, “He was the sort of person who stood on mountaintops during thunderstorms in wet copper armour shouting ‘All the Gods are bastards.’”  That is the type of person America needs in political office.  Not the namby-pamby, wishy-washy, flim-flam artists, but people who insist that the government needs to be smaller, thus consequentially more flexible in crisis.  We need people who have suffered under the rule of bureaucrats and beat the hell out of them to achieve, despite the bureaucracy.  We need more grit!

Grit - DefinedWhat is “Grit” you might ask; well, since America has not seen a lot of grit, please allow me the opportunity to describe this precious commodity. Grit is a positive, cognitive trait based on an individual’s perseverance of effort combined with the passion for a specific long-term goal or end state.  At least, that is what the academics call grit.  Of all the people America remembers who have had a positive and long-lasting influence upon American culture, John Wayne is near the top, and if anyone embodied grit, it was John Wayne who is quoted thusly, “True grit is making a decision and standing by it, doing what must be done.  No moral man can have peace of mind if he leaves undone what he knows they should have done.”  In understanding grit, I have oft called upon T. S. Eliot, “Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go.”

As a child, I once watched the Boston Marathon, it was as interesting to me as watching a dandelion grow, only the finish line really mattered.  As an adult, I saw nonedited pictures of runners during a marathon and understood that which I could not see as a child.  I saw men and women who had bowel movements, torn large pieces of skin away and were bleeding copiously, or thrown up on themselves and still kept running, and I came to understand why grit involves the mindset of living life as a marathon and not a sprint.  Marathon runners are not pretty at the finish line, they know about heartache, failure, blisters, torn muscles, dog bites, shoes failing, weather changes, and so much more.  The marathon is effort incarnate, planning that fails, sorrow, misery, and a finish line.  A marathon is grit embodied, sticking to a plan day in and day out, not for a small period of time days/weeks/months, but months/years/decades, because the goal is worth the effort.

On the Maine coastline, just south of Belfast, is a marina called Bayside.  As a child, I spent time delivering the Bangor Daily News to Bayside homes and got the honor to meet and talk to several of the lobstermen who came and went through Bayside’s docks.  I never expected to see professional lobstermen and fishermen in Bayside.  I was told Bayside was where the rich Boston people had summer homes and playboats.  One very senior lobsterman taught me a lesson one day about grit that I never forgot, “Without grit, pearls are impossible.”  He talked about how small amounts of grit wore down large rocks, that lobsters used grit to clean, and how grit polished.  My grandfather a few summers later taught me how to polish steel until it shined using grit.  I look at President Trump, and for all his faults, I can also see how grit has polished him until he shines.  Maybe a little more grit, that comes with 4-more years as President, can soften more of his abrasive character; but, when I see the growth that the first 4-years has brought, I cheer for President Trump!

PatriotismAmerica, I think it is time we learned a valuable lesson where the selection of politicians is concerned, “Be a good enough person to forgive the losers elected in the past, and smart enough to never trust them again with political office.”  America has lived the words of Soren Kierkegaard, “There are two ways to be fooled.  One is to believe what isn’t true; the other is to refuse to accept what is true.”  It is true, at all levels of government, poor choices have been made, rotten and unintelligent boobs have been placed in power above their ability.  In the military, we called this “being promoted to a person’s maximum level of incompetence.”  Well, this is an election year, and we will have another next year and the year after.  We have been cheated and abused by the smooth-talkers long enough.  Let us elect some true bastards!

Let us elect people who buck the system, who take the bureaucrats on and win.  Let us elect some people who have grit, backbone, and knowledge from experience, not just a degree from a wealthy school and experience as a lobbyist.  We need police officers who know about laws, we need farmers who know about growing things, ranchers, and dairymen who know about long days and short pay because of taxes and dumb decisions made in capitals that kill their businesses.  We need manufacturers who make things, and we need people who do not want to live their lives in the capitals of America feeding off the work of others as a parasite, but who work while elected and long to return to doing what they love.

The Duty of AmericansGeneral George Patton was a bastard; but, he is remembered for being the biggest bastard of them all in WWII, and when the chips were down, he won by being the biggest, grittiest, most hated bastard America had ever sent to war.  I suggest ripping a few pages from General George Patton and Ayn Rand’s book, and electing people who have trod the gristmills of life with bloody feet and callused hands, who live the following: “The question isn’t who’s going to let me; it’s who is going to stop me!”

America, you are the superheroes in your own story, rise!

Thomas Watson said the following about friends, but it applies to politicians desiring to lead just as well, “Don’t make friends who are comfortable to be with.  Make friends who will force you to lever yourself up!”  Politicians should be forcing us to leverage ourselves up, to rely upon ourselves, not the government, and the politicians America needs, know that government is a necessary evil and nothing else!

What is a Statue? – Knowing the Paradigm

Fallen Soldier StatueIt seems fitting that on the Fourth of July, a remembrance of what a statue is should be described, and penned for all the world to see, to read, and remember.  The world has recently witnessed the violent and unhinged protestors tearing down statues.  Witnessed spineless elected officials taking statues down for every reason but the truth, and we have seen violence when the ignorant mob has been refused.  Like spoiled children without a stern parent to correct behavior, the world has watched; but, does the world remember what a statue is?

A statue is made of bronze, stone, iron, usually a combination of all three, intent to remind the passerby of greatness achieved.  The mob in all its anger and horrible glory would have Confederate statues pulled down as “symbols of racism.”  When in reality, those symbols, were erected to remind us of both the good and the ill found in each human heart.  The Confederate Soldier who fought for his home, his friends, his family, and his way of life.  The Confederate Soldier fought gallantly, bravely, and the American Union is better, stronger, and more powerful with the reminder than without; thus, in times past a statue was built to remember, lest we forget and must suffer a repeat of history.

Pres. Lincoln StatueThe statue of Christopher Columbus so hatefully despised, rudely treated by mob violence and elected official stupidity was erected not as a monument to a man, but to commemorate the birth of an idea and an ideal that became these United States of America, a Free Republic if we can keep it.  Christopher Columbus was a man, the same as those in the mob, he had light and dark inside him.  Who is his judge, who is his jury pool, who has the power to judge his actions; not I, nor the mob who despises and defaces the likeness of a person who achieved greatness through sacrifice.  Thus, through sacrifice, the Great American Experiment was launched.  Throughout time immemorial, the current generation has built monuments, statues, to honor the sacrifice that has brought about greatness.

The sad truth of the matter, the mob in its anger deems themselves powerful enough to pull down those sacrifices remembered, to throw away those sacrifices as if they did not matter, and then has the effrontery to suggest they know better than the entire rest of a civilized body.  The spineless Dane-Geld paying politician deems themselves not the protector of the honor of those sacrifices remembered, but the arbitrator of the masses and the statue is blamed.

Washington at Valley Forge

The statue is blamed and then torn down, cast forever from the minds and memory, no longer an artifact to be remembered, to have stories told, and kept alive from generation to generation as a means of learning history.  No longer to be a symbol of remembrance for sacrifices that led to greatness.  No longer to lift and inspire hearts and minds.  But, the media talking heads will say, “Those statues torn down can be erected some other place, out of sight, in an area where the mob cannot choose to become inflamed.”  In telling this lie, a single truth was sacrificed, but the ignorance and lie remain, to the shame and the derision of those who know what a statue truly is, and why that statue was needed.

The truth is, the mob chose to become angry, to vent their anger as domestic terrorists, not protestors.  The truth is people protest, but when the protest interrupts daily commerce, blocks traffic, starts fires, using the fear of the mob to cause damage and mayhem the people are no longer protestors, but terrorists.  Consider some of the first terrorists in American History, many have been called upon by the media and the mob to justify their actions.  The Boston Tea Party has been called upon to justify the actions of the mob.  However, the Boston Tea Party is but one of the first acts of war that sundered, forever, the hold of the British Empire upon America.  Another act of domestic terrorism, the firing upon of Fort Sumter by Confederate ships as the opening salvo of the American Civil War.  Consider Francis “The Swamp Fox” Marion during the Revolutionary War.  Commander Marion led a guerilla war against the British across Carolina.

Confederate Soldier Statue 2The difference between these early domestic terrorists and today’s domestic terrorists, is not that they won, but that they sacrificed for the idea, they gave all not for a statue or a holiday, they gave all for something better and hoped their sacrifice would be remembered.  Look at the riots in Watts, no statues were erected, the land is blighted, the area almost ungovernable, and nobody remembers the names of those domestic terrorists that started the riots in Watts.

The difference is clear when the statue of General George Washington is looked upon, do you see the first President of America, or do you remember the sacrifice of sitting amongst his men at Valley Forge, having his soul and body scourged by weather alongside how many countless others, but staying the course because he was the leader, and his Army loved him?  Do you choose to remember General Washington as the man who could have been King and the death of the American Experiment had he not refused the third presidency; or do you choose to belittle and bemoan because the General had just as many faults as you or I?  Would you tear down the memory of his sacrifice, which is wrapped in the sacrifices of the entire American Army from the earliest days of America to date, or will you choose to remember?

Columbus StatueJust as the mob chooses to be angry, indifferent, and ignorant, so we must choose at this hour in America.  Do we choose to stand, remember, and honor, or do we allow this American Republic to end like Rome before it when faced with a similar threat from domestic terrorists?  What is a statue, it is a visible commitment that declares for all the world, “Not on my watch will your sacrifice be forgotten, your heritage besmirched, and your honor be for naught!”  Not on my watch will America fall to the byzantines amongst us, who have chosen ignorance and passion over logic and reason!  Not on my watch will your statue fall without mourning and a burning desire to see your statue returned to its place of prominence and glory!

A statue is not to remember a single individual, but a moment when people pulled together to achieve greatness, sacrificed personal interest, using character and fortitude to stay until the job was done.  Christopher Columbus would have never left Spain with the sailors doing their tasks individually, and together they achieved greatness.  The statues of Christopher Columbus are not erected to a man, they were erected to a memory, an event, and a promise of desiring to discover, learn, and grow.

What is a statue; it is a commitment, it is a pledge, it is a solemn vow, it is a means of remembering.  A statue is not the property of the government, it is the hearts of the people displayed.  A statue is the reminder of the good that comes from reaching ever upward, for desiring our children to be better today, then we were yesterday, so their children may attain greatness tomorrow.  What is a statue; it is a visible reminder of all the good one man, woman, or child can do when they believe in something bigger than they are.

What is a statue; it is America, the individual citizens, promising…

We Will Not Forget!

Wanted A Leader – The Leader’s Job Description

The best job descriptions address the standard questions of Who, What, When, Where, and How.  The common question ‘Why’ is excluded because it remains self-evident, there is a “something” desired from the job, or the position would not be considered worthwhile.  Since value and rewards are the sole facets of the beholder, ‘Why’ has been excluded.  The sum of these points and positions is derived, deduced, and selected from the following resources, and this list is not all-inclusive, Avolio (2008), Boylan (2005), Brady (2005), Carpenter (1868), Chaleff (2003), Lundin (2000), Costa (2008), Hamlin (2008), Hinckley (2000), Oyinlade (2006), Morrow (1935), Sandburg (1926), Wren (1995), and Yukl (2006).

Wanted: a Leader

All Applicants will have the following characteristics:

  • Drive and Determination – This is required as the task is difficult, the work often arduous, and the pay is never sufficient.
  • Education and Experience – Knowledge is good, but a continued thirst for learning must supersede past educational experiences. Experience in applying education is critical.  Without experience in application, the education is not enough to obtain this position.
  • Willingness to sacrifice – As a leader, the followers need to be trained and supported; this requires a large measure of sacrifice in time, resource allocation and demands innovation in thinking.
  • The power to delegate – Leaders do not have enough time to meet all their responsibilities; if a leader cannot delegate, oversee, and inspire others to action, that leader is not capable of achieving success.
  • Willing to follow without sacrificing the need to lead – Leaders can never sever the ties to the following, but the leader must act to lead. Above all else, leadership requires balancing between being a follower and leading well.
  • The ability to exude a ‘Quiet Confidence’ – Knowing you know what to do, have the ability to find the answers, and still meet achievement goals is required to inspire confidence and determination in others.

Charismatic people need not apply, but those possessing ‘Chutzpah’ are always welcome.  Charisma is a potent drug and, when combined with the power of leadership, tends to lend itself to abusing followers.  People possessing ‘Chutzpah’ have the backbone to make a stand and remain standing long after others would consider quitting.  Determined ‘Chutzpah’ will be the order of the day to make any change, lead change, and drive change in others while putting followers at ease, delivering praise, and inspiring others to achieve.

The ideal candidate possesses a working and living knowledge of history, politics, sales, marketing, customer service, and a devotion to seeing others succeed.  The Ideal Candidate must be willing to be an example and remain engaged mentally in leadership tasks.  Other qualities an Ideal Candidate would include:

  • Appetite
  • Passion
  • Motivation
  • Imagination
  • Understands the difference between monitoring and overbearing
  • Emotionally stable

To apply, please begin meeting these standards, and future leadership positions will be forthcoming.

In Defense of the Rule of Law – Restoring “… Liberty and Justice for All”

This letter is pertinent to every American citizen as well as those currently holding public office and those seeking to become politicians. Politics has always been an American passion; we talk politics at work with co-workers, across the fence with neighbors, around the kitchen table with family and trusted friends, and almost everywhere else without exception…including public restrooms. Yes, Americans even discuss politics in public restrooms. Conversations overheard and notes written on walls provide plenty of evidence. This is apt; much of the political theater currently thrust into America’s attention is fit only for flushing.

President Lincoln is quoted thus: “Let every American, every lover of Liberty, every well wisher to his posterity, swear by the blood of the Revolution, never to violate in the least particular, the laws of the country; and never to tolerate their abuse by others. As the Patriots of seventy-six did to the support of the Declaration of Independence, so to the support of the Constitution and Laws, let every American pledge his life, his property, and his sacred honor; let every man remember that to violate the law, is to trample on the blood of his father, and to tear [down] the character of his own, and his children’s liberty. Let reverence for the [Constitutional] laws [of America]… become the political religion of the nation.”

President Lincoln continued on to proclaim, “When I so pressingly urge a strict observance of all the laws, let me not be understood as saying there are no bad laws, nor that grievances may not arise, for the redress of which, no legal provisions have been made, I mean to say no such thing. But I do mean to say, that, although bad laws, if they exist, should be repealed as soon as possible, still while they continue in force, for the sake of example, they should be religiously observed.” The Collected Works of Abraham Lincoln edited by Roy P. Basler, Volume I, “Address Before the Young Men’s Lyceum of Springfield, Illinois” (January 27, 1838), p. 112.

Americans inherently seem to know right from wrong. Living in a Republic is messy and loud. Yet, from the clamoring on two extreme points, fairness, justice, and mercy continue to stand in the common argument for the regulation of society to ultimately benefit all. Since Americans inherently know right from wrong and are generally just and merciful, the most contemptible actions a politician can make is to forget, upon election, he/she must serve all his/her constituents, not only the political party he/she personally adheres to and represents. This contemptible action, witnessed in many past and current political scandals, simultaneously displayed the actions taken at every level of government from the dogcatcher and school board locally to the president’s office federally. For example, President Obama’s decision to hire Arne Duncan as United States Secretary of Education, the multiplicity of “Czar” appointments, the VA scandal across America, the IRS debacle and the continuing saga this represents, and much more, on both sides of the political aisle, all find their roots in the failure to adhere to the rule of law. Supporting a personal political party’s leanings over the rule of law causes all of America to suffer grievously.

Districts elect their politicians, and an elected politician has only one job, which is to represent the citizens, all citizens of this great Republic, at the level of office elected. This means that the higher in political office, the broader the constituent base, and the higher the public’s trust, and hence the more closely the politician must walk in honoring, obeying, and upholding the laws of the land. If the politician’s first waking breath is not commitment to equality under the law and obedience to America’s Constitutional Law, as described by President Lincoln above, he/she is a charlatan, a hoax, a fraudster, and needs removal from holding a position of public trust. More to the point, failure to honor the elected responsibility to constituents is, by law, criminal negligence and warrants a court of action convened in the form of a public hearing held forthwith to determine status of guilt and accountability under the law for failure to uphold the public trust.

Rugged individuals founded America for people who love Liberty. To love Liberty means fair play and equality under the law as the basic and fundamental building block of society. If an individual personally is unable to tolerate individual liberty, that individual remains free to leave America’s shores and find a more suitable place to live among the other nations on Earth.

Too many people in America have failed to embrace personal liberty for their neighbors; thus, compromising personal liberty for themselves and fundamentally jeopardizing liberty for every American. President Lincoln could not have been plainer on this point, and the extreme examples of the last 20+ years on the Federal, State, and Local government levels are obvious. America is in danger not from without, e.g. terrorism, war, etc., but from within, e.g. politicians, who fail to uphold equality under American Constitutional Law and honor the rule of America’s law. The axiom continues to verify itself, “The wise man in the storm does not pray for deliverance from the storms without, but the storms within.” Direct application of hope, faith, and trust dispels fear as a storm within. If a politician holds a position of public trust, people have placed upon him/her their hope and faith that he/she will honor the rule of law for the benefit of all peoples, not simply those who helped him/her become elected.

A particular point of contention generates with “Special Interest Groups.” Special interest groups do not the full population represent; hence, the reason and label of “Special Interests.” Special interest groups are not capable of representing all the population or they would be called “General Interest Groups,” and not every person in America can be represented by such narrow thinking on any issue, let alone the big issues, e.g. abortion rights, religion, immigration, education, etc. Because “Special Interest Groups” do not represent the full population, limiting special interests, disclosing fully special interest funding sources, and issuing complete disclosure of the reason that particular special interest is pushing a specific legislative agenda are key factors. During the Obamacare debates, in full spectacle of the world, America learned a valuable lesson on the need for full disclosure on special interests. Special interest groups intensely supported, as political favors for the benefit of one political group over all others, software that never lived up to the hype and wasted hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars. This decision represented a deleterious action full of contempt for the rule of law rather than equal opportunity under the law for all persons. Anytime public money is used to issue a political favor, public trust is breached, the rule of law flouted, and the need for removal from office necessitated; then such persons are held accountable, along with those politically rewarded, in a court of law, and the public’s money is recovered.

The use of public funds in issuing political favors includes employment. Since public employees necessarily receive their wages from public money, politicians breach the public trust should they hire, as a reward for political favors and the public deserves their money back. Kevin Jennings is a specific example; President Obama, through Arne Duncan while in the office of Secretary of Education, hired Jennings as a “Safe Schools Czar.” Duncan knew Jennings would remain a prominent and outspoken member of the LGBTQ agenda through Jennings’ history with GLSEN, as well as a previous executive director for the group and an admirer of Harry Hays of NAMBLA. It seems particularly ironic that to achieve greater public support, under the leadership of Jennings the group GLSEN (Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network) changed its name (1997) from the Gay & Lesbian Independent School Teacher Network (GLISTN). His hire represents a significant breach of public trust as a pusher of the LGBTQ agenda. His role in government put him squarely into a position to coerce America’s Public Schools into becoming breeding grounds for the homosexual agenda instead of bastions for learning. Americans felt abhorred that someone who peddles in pedophilia was now in charge of making schools safer. For the record, anytime a legally recognized adult promotes sex with children under the age of legal majority is committing, or aiding in, the crime of pedophilia. By promoting books on adult/children sex, creating book lists and learning platforms promoting this deviant behavior, Jennings has aided and abetted, at the very least, pedophilia in America’s schools. While claiming success due to President Obama’s assistance, the LGBTQ Agenda became “anti-bullying” at a conference hosted by the White House with President Obama being the keynote speaker.

An investment of public money through employment for the political reward of a constituent is what landed Gov. Rod Blagojevich of Illinois in prison. What put him in prison is and continues to be called, “Pay-to-Play.” Investing in a politician that leads to a reward, e.g. employment, with the ability to “play” with the laws of the land remains despicable and worthy of criminal charges with a public trial for all persons in the chain of decision-making; yes, this includes President Obama.

Rest assured politicians can hire whom they choose, but they must do so ever cognizant of the moral fiber and ethical standards of those hired, and the public trust invested through both the voting booth and tax dollars. Kevin Jennings never showed the slightest inclination to support the rule of law or equality under the law for all people. In fact, many of his friends and associates continue to believe that if a person does not think in a similar manner to themselves, that person needs to be destroyed politically, personally, and professionally, this is also referred to as being “Bork[ed].” Represented and exemplified through the actions of such supporters in the removal of Inspector Generals in the Federal Government at large, the changes specifically within the Department of Education, and the cover-ups in the IRS and VA scandals were all designed to hide truth from the American public. This is dangerous ground for America and represents terrorism at the most fundamental level, the terrorism of thought leading to action while holding a position of public trust paid for by public funds. By using the threat of government action to intimidate, coerce, and force societal change, many in government, like Jennings, are committing terrorist acts.

As the elections of 2016 draw near, this missive belongs to the politicians currently holding office as well as those hoping to hold public office: please uphold the rule of law. Please come out in full and unequivocal support of the rule of law and the liberty of all as the only hope for saving America, even if this means people suffer from the consequences of their poor individual decisions. Embrace the rule of America’s Constitutional law. Taxpayers, as represented by their collective elected officials colloquially known as government, cannot and should never be forced to pay for bad personal decisions with public money. Government is not a charitable organization. Hence, government cannot and should not be investing public money in abortion clinics, drug rehab clinics, and other consequences for poor personal decisions. Charitable and religious organizations are sufficient to this task and public money needs investing elsewhere, e.g. providing for the common defense, ensuring free trade among the states, reducing the debt, or lowering taxes, etc.

Stand for the absolute rule of law and America wins. Failure to stand for the rule of law and America loses, utterly and completely. With the failure to stand for the rule of law, politicians elected and trusted by their constituents, who transform themselves into being inadequate to the task to perform according to law. Their names are thence cast upon the dung heaps of history as charlatans and unpitied betrayers of the struggle to keep America the “…shining city on a hill,” full of “…liberty and justice for all.”
