Exclamation MarkDistichia Moralia provides with keen wisdom the following, “Speech is given to many; intelligence to few.”  After the European trip of US President Joe Biden, intelligence is in short supply in the White House, the staff, and of course, the US Media!  Would someone please tell me how so many can say so much, yo-yo’ing from one point to another, and still make no sense?  Honest question, the other day someone told me the patients were running the asylum, and I countered no, the clowns took over the circus.  Both sentiments are accurate, but I detest clowns, and mental patients can occasionally do something brilliant.

Now, to be perfectly fair, little Joey Biden has a mental cognition problem that is more than likely some form of senility or Alzheimer’s disease.  I am not entirely blaming little Joey; his spouse and handlers bear the full brunt of the blame and deserve their punishment for not allowing this senile old man to retreat to his beloved basement and finish the rest of his days in solitude and grandchildren.  May little Joey sniff hair and massage shoulders in a creepy fashion after retirement to his heart’s content.  But his handlers, the complicit media, and his spouse need to be hauled in front of a judge for elder person abuse!

From Australia’s Sky News, the BBC, Daily Mail, FOX News, CNN, MSNBC, and Jerusalem News, essentially covering the entire globe, every media channel worth a small moment is complaining about Biden’s European performance.  Not all media channels are created equal, but to have them all complaining about Biden in Europe is pretty phenomenal.  To have Biden walk back his handlers’ “clarification” and then renounce his previous sentiments in the same speech is nothing short of a full-blown communication failure.

To clarify, I do not care what you embrace for your political party.  Any person with half a brain cell can observe what is happening and know instinctively that the elected leaders have no clue and even less intelligence.  Worse, their intellectual ability for self-preservation is running on fumes and day-old flatulence.  Truly, “speech is given to many, and intelligence to few.”  Unfortunately, this is not the tip of the iceberg humanity is headed towards at full speed!If we do not believe in freedom of speech for those we despise we do not believe in it at all ...

Satire is truth wrapped in comic wit and presented for discussion.  Never taken seriously as supported by how many “shock” comedians?  Yet, the Babylon Bee is removed from Twitter because some Twitter employees think they have a special mission from their god CEO Parag Agrawal to silence any voice they deem “hostile.”  More people prove that “speech is given to many; intelligence to few.”  Would someone please tell me how Kathy Griffin can parody cutting off then President Trump’s head, and she can maintain a Twitter account, but the Babylon Bee has their account suspended.  Worse, Kathy Griffin, a fully non-humorous comedienne, got a Netflix special, but Dave Chapelle was hounded mercilessly for weeks because he told the truth and was actually funny.

Kathy Griffin, Dave Chapelle, Biden/Trump, Babylon Bee, Twitter, Facebook, Google, Apple, and others are tied into a Gordian Knot over the topic of controlling speech unconstitutionally.  Whether as perpetrators, victims, or politics, every actor mentioned, especially those not mentioned, as this was NOT a definitive list, all share in the ongoing saga over the First Amendment.Abraham Joshua Heschel quote: Speech has power. A reminder, the First Amendment states:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

The perpetrators who are pulling the political strings to hinder and thwart the First Amendment hide, like evil thinking cowards, cower behind the shield, “Congress.” Claiming that since they are not Congress, they only prohibit speech on their private platforms conditional as part of the “User Agreement” or as private citizens or businesses.  Hence, limiting the speech of others is entirely legal, moral, and socially acceptable, intentionally muddying the lines between legal and illegal for entertainment or some other bloviated excuse.  Except, what these perpetrators are doing is stealing freedom from everyone for personal profit.TOP 6 QUOTES BY ZECHARIAH CHAFEE | A-Z Quotes

What is “Hate speech?”  Sure, the lawyers have concocted a definition for court, but in practice, “Hate Speech” is anything any person who thinks they possess a modicum of power deems it to be.  Any tool that limits speech will be used as a weapon to beat people out of their rights and freedoms and steal the same to enslave all.  The Supreme Court regularly hears cases on First Amendment issues, specifically speech.  Of the five freedoms protected and enshrined in the First Amendment (Speech, Religion, Press, Assembly, and Petition the government), speech is the one most often attacked.  The Supreme Court has wisely used the rule of thumb, “Screaming ‘Fire’ in a crowded theater,” as the basis for whether to rule speech as governed under the First Amendment or not.

Why is this a wise rule of thumb?  Because creating panic in a population enclosed in a building should not be protected “free” speech as the consequences are dire indeed.  But does this mean anything else goes; absolutely!  A simple rule exists to explain why, “When you limit the freedoms of a single person in a society, the entire society loses ALL of their freedoms, rights, and liberties.”  Democracy is messy!  A constitutional republic is doubly chaotic!  We, the citizens of either a democracy or a constitutional republic, accept this as a necessity to protect our individual rights, freedoms, and liberties.The Legal Lens: Why Free Speech Matters To You

This means when Twitter declares something as broaching their “User Agreement” and limiting one person’s speech, as a citizen of the United States, every citizen of the United States loses!  When Facebook or LinkedIn practice censorship in the name of “socially acceptable speech,” they are thwarting the US Constitution and decrying they are the wisest of us all and intelligent enough to declare what is and is not “acceptable” speech in a public environment.  When YouTube ends people’s livelihood because they do not like the content in a video, everyone loses their right to produce content free from burdensome oppression.

Chris Rock was free to make a joke about Jada Pinkett-Smith as a point of reference.  Will Smith was perfectly in his right to first laugh at the joke and then choose to become offended.  But, Will Smith’s rights ended when he took action and hit Chris Rock.  Speech is a responsibility, and exercising speech properly means sometimes being held accountable for the speech made.  Unfortunately, modern society has allowed people to make offensive and degrading remarks without accountability for too long, which is a problem.  However, the solution is not to control speech by a business, company, government, non-governmental board/organization, etc.  The solution is to remind people of the accountability inherent in exercising their rights to speech.

Speech is never “Free.”  Free speech means no consequences to what you say, but the reverse is true, and speech has a significant cost!  Ask any disabled veteran about the cost of speech, and let me know if they claim their injuries are free.  Worse, ask any person jailed who made a speech if their speech was free, and tell me if their sufferings, depravations, and sacrifices were without cost.  Chris Rock was entirely in his right to make an offensive joke.  I did not find it funny.  But could Chris Rock have been held accountable for his poor sense of humor without being slapped on international television; absolutely.  But, name me another group of people who abuse the rights, freedoms, and liberties of others without care and concern than Hollywood.  I know of no other industry!

The government has failed to police Hollywood, and Hollywood refuses to police itself, but how many in Hollywood are willing to insist that Hollywood needs a deep cleansing, an injection of values, morals, and law; not many, if any.  Name another industry so rampant and steeped in villainy, depravity, and disgust that it can escape basic law enforcement.  Hollywood spawned Bollywood and how many other incarnations in countries around the globe, all suffering from the same moral vacuum and creating the same social decay without consequence.  Spoilt children, parading as virtuous adults, demand their rights, liberties, and freedoms, all while denying others the same rights, liberties, and freedoms.  Demanding politicians, the same politicians fawning and feeding the Hollywood monster, to use the powers of government, and big business, to thwart laws for their own profit and gain.

Have you ever heard of a “Casting Couch?”  In business, the military, and government, a “casting couch” is sexual harassment, a crime worthy of jail, heavy fines, and social scorn for the perpetrator.  In Hollywood, the “Casting Couch” is regular business for those desiring to be in Hollywood, and the victims, if they speak out, are scorned and unemployable.  The horror stories about the “Casting Couch” are depraved, disgusting, and the victims’ ages run the gamut, all with little to no consequences for those soliciting sexual favors in return for employment in Hollywood.  The case of Harvey Weinstein ripped the scab off the festering wound of Hollywood, but Big Business and Government have helped keep the wound alive and infected, to the shame and horror of the victims.

Knowledge Check!Will Smith, enjoy the spotlight your actions created, and may the consequences fit the crime.  Chris Rock, you’re still not funny.  Wanda Sykes, you lost your funny.  The Oscar’s is not worth my time and energy to scorn, let alone watch.  But, Hollywood, your industry is sick, and the greatest crime is that your infection is spreading faster than a case of Chlamydia in the Playboy Mansion.  Hollywood, you have lost any and all claims to tell anyone else how to live and until you clean up your mess, I will continue to refuse you my money.  You might start by remembering, “Speech is given to many; intelligence to few.”

Wants vs. Needs – Problems vs. Inconvenience

Wants

Wants are things we wish for, desire strongly, and do almost anything to acquire.  First-world nations generally want material things, and in many parts of the world, food is wished-for in sufficient quantity to silence the hunger pains and provide a good night’s sleep.  Is coffee a want or a need?

Needs

Needs are items that are necessary, indispensable, and required for survival.  Many people claim they need coffee in the morning to “start their day,” but the need is the caffeine, not the coffee.  Coffee is a want as the preferred method for obtaining caffeine.  Lacking coffee, is this a problem or inconvenience?

Problems

Problems cause difficulties, presenting a puzzle requiring solving, people who are difficult to deal with, and personal matters requiring action, not merely words, represent problems.  For example, lacking coffee, the problem becomes how do I obtain sufficient caffeine to begin my day—a problem requiring solving to feel empowered to act.  A want, masquerading as a need, presenting as a problem, is merely an inconvenience in truth.

Inconvenience

Inconvenience is rooted in the word inconvenient, and something inconvenient is merely an annoyance or a disruption in the normal routine.  Walking to the coffee pot and not finding sufficient grounds to make a cup of coffee is an inconvenience as it disrupts a plan.

A simple analogy, but adequate to the purpose of helping to identify the differences between each item under investigation.  Wants are desires embodied; not getting those wants is inconvenient; plotting for a way to obtain that which is desired presents a problem or a puzzle for solving but cannot ever elevate a want to a need.  Needs are more critical problems requiring solving; not obtaining a need is not inconvenient; it is imperative, which if not resolved always leads to a negative consequence.

Exclamation MarkFor example, the Daily Signal is reporting, sourced from the Media Research Center, that the ratio for censoring by big tech is 53 to 1 Republicans to Democrats.  Does this present a problem or an inconvenience?  Is less censorship a want for Republicans or more censorship a need for Democrats?  Some people will erroneously claim, “It depends upon which side of the political aisle you reside.”

Why is this an erroneous claim; for the simple fact that censorship is a denial of liberty and freedom.  When one person is denied their rights and freedoms for political gain, everyone loses all their freedoms and liberties.  The Second Amendment cannot stand with the First Amendment.  Theft of the First Amendment for one person is a roadmap to stealing the First Amendment rights of all people.  The Third and Fourth Amendments to the US Constitution fall apart by removing the First and Second Amendments.  The legal framework of the Rule of Law is forever destroyed when the US Bill of Rights can be controlled by political operators for personal or political gain.  The importance of understanding the interconnectedness of the Rule of Law with morals, values, and the social contract cannot be understated.

What is the Social Contract?

The social contract is an agreement that all capable people living together in a society form with each other, declaring they will abide by a specific set of behaviors, ideals, and shared beliefs codified into law, which undergirds the “social fabric” of a society.  The social contract of the United States of America is found in the US Constitution and the US Bill of Rights, the first amendments to the US Constitution.  By choosing to be labeled an American, we agree to honor the rights of all people to pursue life, liberty, and happiness, so long as their pursuit does not inhibit another person from pursuing the same.President Adams

We understand that the pursuits of life, liberty, and happiness are a path, a journey, not a destination, and not a guarantee.  We respect those who achieve and emulate them to reach the same potential destination.  We Americans possess hope, born of struggle, that we can achieve liberty and happiness fairly and realize the consequences are ours alone to enjoy or curse based upon our decisions individually.

Let me pause here; currently in K-12 education, witnessed in Detroit, Chicago, Baltimore, Los Angeles, Seattle, and many other locations, the public education system is intentionally abusing children.  Stealing their potential by refusing to teach them, and in so doing is raising generations of people who will struggle their entire lives in captivity and ignorance.  These actions by teachers, administrators, and elected political officials are intentional and stand in direct opposition to the social contract.  However, the children, and their parents, retain the ability to choose a different path, even if it means trying to learn how to read, write, and figure independent from the school abuse.  Individual agency to pursue life, liberty, and happiness is the first and quintessential aspect of being an American!

Here’s the rub…

Despite government intervention, the government arbitrarily picks for political gain and personal advancement (through cheating) those which achieve without effort, and Americans inherently despise this aspect of government.  Consider the vitriol thrown at Hunter Biden, who has achieved, lived beyond his means, and benefitted from his family’s political connections.  The Pelosi’s, Kennedy’s, Clinton’s, Obama’s, Romney’s, and so many others who have achieved, living off the backs of pioneers, but have not contributed, breaks the social contract.  Theft, lying, and breach of honor in America are crimes, but when the criminals escape justice, this breeds contempt, copy cats, and empowers others into chasing the same path to a modicum of success through devious and nefarious means—rendering the social contract impotent, sundering any hope of success without government intervention, and placing millions of Americans into captivity.quote-mans-inhumanity

Look at the disgust America has for Big Technology firms.  While these firms have achieved and pioneered success, they have turned monopolistic, oligarchical, and thwarted their competitors, all for personal gain.  How are these companies pursuing keeping their gains?  They are employing the government authority.  They are using mergers to acquire intellectual property to protect their revenues, abusing the power of law, all of which harms competition.  This also breaks the social contract, sundering the social fabric of America and destroying the pursuit of life, liberty, and happiness of others.

The want of power is breeding a need for correction in America by the oppressed.  Look at the rising feelings of freedom as expressed in the #FreedomConvoy.  Other examples include the protests against the interminable government mandates, the continued spreading of information deemed by the government, and Big Tech as “misinformation.”  Presenting us with a question is this a problem or inconvenience; the answer is PROBLEM!  This means there is a solution to the problem and a path to fix the rips in the social fabric and mend the social contract in America.

What is the solution?

With a nod to The Lorax and Dr. Seuss:

Return to the Rule of Law, smaller government, and stricter adherence to a moral code.  Some will claim, also erroneously, this is not the solution or is only a solution in a “perfect” “utopian” world.  However, I counter with the following, “What has brought America to this precipice?”  The 1880s saw the rise of bureaucrats restricting the ability to read, as a means of controlling the population, born of fear, and as racist an action as enslaving people!  Post-WWI, repeated more severely Post-WWII, the rise in government as a means of “recovering from war.”

Father Mulcahy 4Trace through history, and every time the government has undertaken a path to grow, the industrial complex has more closely tied itself to biggering government as a path to pursue life, liberty, and happiness.  However, the growth of government has come at the expense of the electorate through increased laws and legislation, bureaucratic mandate, and larger standing police organizations.  All this while simultaneously reducing the quality of education, restricting the power to read, write, and figure, and calling the advances “progress.”  Restrictions on competition, merging to form larger military-industrial organizations, and increased costs have shut out citizens from politics, thus capturing the reigns of government to keep feeding the growing beast.

Recently Biden has begun pounding the war drums to escape the financial problems, social unrest, and other problems at home.  He is sending congressional representatives out to try and support protecting the national borders of Ukraine while removing and destroying the borders of the USA.  Why take this path of war and destruction; because it has always worked previously.  If Biden can get America focused on war, he can keep biggering the government without scrutiny and with the tacit approval of the electorate.

The 9/11 commission found hundreds of places where the bureaucrats enforcing government failed, but were any of these people held accountable?  Were any bureaucrats forced from their cushy jobs and made to pay restitution?  Of course not, because this would have made the American government at fault as a co-conspirator and facilitator of 9/11’s terror attacks.  So, the solution was to avoid culpability, shirk responsibility, and appease the bureaucrats at the expense of all citizens.Gravy Train

COVID-19 is another example of runaway liberty theft, rights reduction, and smoke and mirror charades.  The government seized power from the people, biggered itself, and broke the laws for convenience while the electorate was focused elsewhere.  How’s that bigger government working for you?  Are you tired of being authoritatively ruled, restricted in your pursuit of life, liberty, and happiness?  Do you understand the problem?  If so, what do you need?

COVID-19 is a viral disease, humanity has survived a lot of viral diseases, yet COVID is somehow different, or so we have been told.  Since COVID kills less than .01%, the response has to be the complete and total destruction of the Rule of Law, the restriction of rights, liberties, and the destruction of all we have held dear.  But none of those mandating will answer why or how COVID is different from any other viral disease humanity has survived.

The government needs to bigger itself, or it dies.  In competition with a bigger government, the citizens need to be “… secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects.”  The party winning in this competition must be the citizen, and the citizen must staunchly defend all encroachment to their privacy, rights, freedoms, and liberties under the Rule of Law.  We, the American Citizens, deserve a smaller and less expensive government; this is not a problem or inconvenience; it is a necessity!

NO MORE BS: Defining a Patriot

Theres moreSome people have criticized me for not speaking like a psychologist.  By profession, choice, and a lot of work and experience, I am an Industrial and Organizational Psychologist (I/O Psych).  An I/O Psych collaborates with people to improve systems, organizations, and the processes that naturally occur when you put a bunch of people working together on a task in the same room.  I do not charge people $500 an hour to listen to them and offer platitudes.  By this comment, I am not dismissing, denigrating, or deriding my fellow practitioners; I am merely drawing a distinction.  My education, experiences, or talents do not make a patriot; my choices do!

The First Amendment of the U. S. Bill of Rights states:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Notice the stress placed upon peacefully assembling.  I do not care about your grievances, but, as long as you protest peacefully, do not block commerce, traffic, or allow emotions to cross over into violence, I will fight to the death your right to peacefully assemble.  The same is true of expressing speech; you can speak like a blathering idiot, and I will fight to the death for your right to be the blathering idiot and only expect that you respect my freedoms of speech and fight to help me maintain those rights.  I do not care what god, gods, or God you worship, even if you refuse to worship a god, gods, or God.  I will fight to the death your right to believe as you choose, provided you respect my rights to worship as I choose; this includes not waging lawfare to change religious expressions in society.  Peacefully allowing religious displays does not intrude, hurt, or even influence you, so please stop wasting community resources as you practice lawfare.

The Duty of AmericansThe Second Amendment of the U. S. Bill of Rights states:

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed.”

People who own weapons legally, per the codified laws of the 50-states, are not terrorists, hell-bent on capturing the world; cease criminalizing the ownership of firearms!  Emotion has overcome reason, logic, and common sense on this issue. The tools of policy (law enforcement) should not be made the bad guy because a political figure is demonizing legal gun owners.  If you want to stop crime, reduce gun-related violence, and improve society’s safety, arm the citizens, don’t demonize them!

No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law.”

Some people will erroneously think this is not that big of an amendment; I beg to differ.  America is a Country of law!  How grateful we all should be that the government cannot lodge soldiers in our homes in peace or war without law properly ascribed.  Now, I am not claiming that all laws are good or bad, merely stating that there is a law, and the laws can keep us free.

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

The Fourth Amendment has been beaten and bloodied but remains a crucial and vital aspect of constitutional law in protecting citizens from the government.  However, legislation continues to be passed that infringes upon this amendment.  The FISA courts are a perfect example of unconstitutional legislation being allowed to thrive, based solely upon the excuse, “National Security.”  The cogent points of the laws allowing this abuse of constitutional rights are found in Charles Reich’s (1943) writings, specifically since the early 1930s in America, the citizens have been seen as the property of the Federal Government and the bureaucratic lackey’s!  As Americans, if we are to remain safe and secure in our homes from illegal government overreach, the Fourth Amendment needs to be strengthened!  As a patriot, I will fight to the death for your right to be safe in your home from illegal government search and seizure, for if you lose your rights to safety in your home today, I will surely lose my rights tomorrow.

No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.”

The Fifth Amendment continues to be bloodied and badgered by the liberal leftists who seized the government, regardless of their stated political party!  Consider how the FISA Court warrants were abused to obtain support for false accusations before President Trump took office.  Yet, put the same liberal leftists on trial, and they will scream their rights under the fourth and fifth amendments are being infringed.  As a patriot, I will fight to the death for your right to be safe from illegal government overreach, for a jury trial, and to protect your rights to life, liberty, and property.  If you lose your rights today, I will surely lose my rights tomorrow.

Pride 2The Sixth Amendment of the U.S. Bill of Rights states:

In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defence.”

Over the last four years, the legal-political theater has been a constant reminder of the Sixth Amendment’s importance.  How many people were arrested, charged, then waiting for a year or more while the political drama played out, and the accused were innocent of any crime; too many!  The importance of a speedy trial is understood in the phrase, “make charges appear against them.”  Too often, where politics and law merge, this phrase is being used, the law abused, and the political gamesmanship is disgusting!  Consider General Flynn; he was innocent, lost his job, and had to fight a multiple-year battle to clear his name, all because the liberal leftists “made charges appear against him.”  Due process of law is fundamentally enshrined in the Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Amendments. Every time the government overreaches and abuses these amendments, real people suffer, and chaos in the law ensues!  Why does chaos ensue; well, there is another legal axiom at work, “Bad cases make bad case law!”  Essentially, when a judge issues an order, this creates the opportunity for another lawyer to use that case law as an example to stretch the envelope just a little bit further.

RememberFor example, eminent domain, June 2005 – Eminent Domain, Kelo v. City of New London by a 5-4 majority, affirmed the city’s right to seize private land as part of an economic development plan—a redefinition of the “Takings Clause” under the Fifth Amendment.  The U.S. Constitution clearly states that “private property [shall not] be taken for public use, without just compensation.”

    • Until this decision, the Eminent Domain and Taking Clause had been strictly and rigidly defined. Five judges who believe in judicial activism opened this “Pandora’s Box,” and the havoc has been nonstop ever since.
    • What was in this legal “Pandora’s Box;” before Kelo, eminent domain had been limited to direct government ownership, excluding property transfers to private corporations. With Kelo, the question of whether economic gain, resulting from a “taking” for corporate interests, constituted “public use” finally came under Supreme Court scrutiny, and five judges declared that if a corporation has interests, those interests are the same as government interests.
    • As proven by Eminent Domain, corporate interests change with economies. When corporate interests change, the property holder does not get their property back, and if seized under eminent domain, the government can choose what the value of the property is worth.
    • Ever want to see the power of bureaucrats in action, look at the abuses that property owners have suffered through eminent domain. Ever want to see why judicial restraint is critical, look no further than the still undeveloped land in the Kelo case!

As a patriot, I will defend your rights to a speedy trial.  A trial with due process of the law, speed, and urgency to restrain the lawyers and political operatives from “making charges appear” against you, hoping for your help in protecting my rights when the government comes to remove them from me.

PatriotismThe Seventh Amendment of the U.S.  Bill of Rights states:

In Suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty dollars, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved, and no fact tried by a jury, shall be otherwise re-examined in any Court of the United States, than according to the rules of the common law.

The Seventh Amendment is another amendment that, unless you have been a small claims court party, does not get a lot of attention.  Yet, I am exceedingly grateful for this amendment!  But, like the Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Amendments, this amendment continues to be bloodied and abused at the hands of willful people for personal gain!  As a patriot, I choose to uphold the rights enshrined in the U. S. Bill of Rights, even those deemed obscure by politicians and activist judges who would see these amendments removed.

Police and Government Lines of CongruenceThe Eighth Amendment of the U. S. Bill of Rights states:

Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.

The courts regularly change the rules where bail is concerned, the various state legislatures also continue to meddle and change bail rules because of the term “Excessive Bail.”  More, the lawyers continue to claim particular punishments are “cruel and unusual.”  However, as a patriot, I do not see the death penalty as either cruel or unusual, as I have studied crime and punishment throughout history. There are much worse punishments that have been inflicted!  When a penalty is harsh, less crime is committed for fear of suffering the same fate.  Examples of this abound, even though many practitioners in psychology and lawyers will disagree.  To really influence crimes committed, both the sentencing needs to be a deterrent, and the nuclear family needs to be supported in society.  As a patriot, I support both the nuclear family and harsher punishments for a crime being committed.  Better still, I support freedom under the Rule of Law; the same law that applies to a poor man applies to a rich man.  The same Rule of Law that applies to the politically unconnected applies to the politically connected.  There is no reason why position, money, or influence should create a rule for thee and a different one for me, and this practice must cease forthwith!

The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.

The Ninth Amendment is essential, as not all human rights were encapsulated in the U. S. Bill of Rights, and this is a good thing!  The government cannot proscribe rights, nor can a person claim a right in ambiguity.  For example, recently, a person declared they had a right to a driver’s license.  A driver’s license and the privilege to drive is not a right; driving is a liberty closely controlled by the government.  Just as marriage is closely regulated and guarded liberty by the government, while I agree with driving, marriage should not be governed by the government but by religion.  However, since the government has seized marriage control and regulation from religion, as a patriot, I will support the government’s assumed right to regulate marriage until this can be changed in the legislatures at the Federal and State levels of government.  Is the purpose of the Ninth Amendment clear?

Andragogy - LEARNThe Tenth Amendment of the U. S. Bill of Rights states:

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

My favorite amendment allows me to declare, as long as I follow the laws as rightly established in the legislatures and enforced by the executive branch of government, leave me alone!  More, as long as my actions do not infringe upon others’ rights, I can insist on being left alone by the tools of government policy.  You can insist upon being left alone to pursue life, liberty, and happiness, all because of the Tenth Amendment!  Celebrate this amendment, for, without it, the government could invent a right to pester you, and you would have no recourse.  Better still, this amendment declares something that is profoundly simple and exquisite in design; the individual states have control over the Federal Government.

Thin Blue LineLegal precedence and judicial activists would have you think otherwise, but this is not true.  The states were designed to be independent bodies, joining the Federal Government to solve conflicts between states amicably, ensure commerce between states was fair, and provide for the common defense rationally and logically.  Thus, the U.S. House of Representatives as the “People’s House,” and the U. S. Senate was the “State’s House,” where governors dictated who should represent the state.  When your governor lost control of the Senate, individual states’ rights were captured by the Federal Government, and chaos has ensued ever since.

LinkedIn ImageThe following has been written expressly for American society; however, the same dissection of your countries laws should be made to understand your rights and plot how to dissent legally while supporting your society’s good.  It remains imperative that before one launches on a dissension path, they know how to sail the waters successfully.  Hence, look at individual rights in your society, claim those rights, for if you do not claim those rights, they will be taken!

Regardless of your society, being a patriot is a choice.  You choose to stand for another person’s rights because you know if you do not stand today for others, tomorrow the government will come to take your rights, and no one will care.  Please choose to be a patriot.

Religion Quote 2A final word, faith is like freedom; when you possess freedom, and when you see freedom violated, you know.  Hope is believing in that which you cannot see, but long to keep.  Charity is the mindset of believing that all are equal and deserving of their fundamental human rights.  The fight to throw off the chains of bondage placed by the liberal leftists will require faith, hope, and charity.  Be believing, be hopeful, and be charitable and that which you send out will return!
